Hello,

       My name is Don Lowery and I am the founder of Total Design & Engineering. I have enjoyed being in the industry for 20 years and have had the opportunity to meet great people. 

      I began my career as a Tool and Die Maker apprentice. I had the chance to learn from highly skilled veteran Die Makers who showed me reverse engineering for part development. Every machine was manual and required long hours to accomplish tasks.

      As the tool and die process continued to change, I was fortunate to work for aggressive companies who welcomed new ideas of die construction. One company in 1994 allowed the ability for Die Makers to utilize Cad software for the build process. We were able to cut machining, assembly and tryout time averaging up to 30%.

      I have been trained to build and design progressive, line and transfer dies. With my background I am able to communicate design intent from start to finish with customers that I collaborate with. I am always on the path for continuous improvement and hope to accommodate your needs for design.
